Winterization is a fractional crystallization process, where the product is cooled to 32°F and filtered removing a portion of saturated fatty acids and waxes. This results in a product that remains clear at refrigeration temperatures, making it useful in applications such as salad dressings and sauces.</p><p><b>Process Flow:</b></p><p>Derived from the seeds of USDA-approved species of Gossypium spp. Solvent extracted. Refined, Bleached, Winterized, and Deodorized. Citric acid may be used as a processing aid and trace levels (~10ppm) may remain. Gossypol is eliminated during the refining process.</p><p><b>GMO Statement:</b></p><p>Non-GMO!!!</p><p>This term shall be used to describe products that contain ingredients, additives, or processing aids derived from commodities that have commercially grown GMO varieties in the supply chain, BUT residual DNA/protein is likely NOT detectable in the final product.</p><p>Winterized Cottonseed Oil is refined, bleached, and deodorized (RBD) and does not contain any proteinaceous material.
